Achievements and Milestones

As we reach the midpoint of the year, it's the perfect time to reflect on the achievements and milestones that have made this year remarkable. The journey has been filled with exciting opportunities, recognition, and impactful events, all contributing to both personal growth and the growth of the businesses I’ve been fortunate to work with. Here’s a look back at some of the standout moments from the first half of this year.

Award Nominations

West Country Women Awards

I am thrilled and humbled to have been nominated for three prestigious awards at the West Country Women Awards: Small Business of the Year, Inspirational Leader, and Entrepreneur of the Year. These nominations are a testament to the hard work and dedication put into my business, and I am grateful for the recognition within just 18 months of starting this venture.

Women in Business Awards

In addition to the West Country Women Awards, I have also been nominated for the Women in Business Awards. This acknowledgment further solidifies the impact of my work and the positive influence it has on the community and the business landscape.

Your Partnerships New Business of the Year Award

One of the highlights of the year so far was winning the Your Partnerships New Business of the Year award in March. This recognition is particularly meaningful as it celebrates not only the achievements of my business but also the support and encouragement received from the community and peers within Your Partnerships.

Young Enterprise Mentor and Judge

This year, I have trained to be a business mentor for the Young Enterprise programme, guiding young entrepreneurs through the early stages of their business journeys. As part of this I was privileged to be asked to be a judge at the county finals. Witnessing the creativity and passion of the participants was inspiring, and it reinforced my belief in the importance of nurturing the next generation of business leaders.

Success Sculptors Events

Together with Claire Forth and Emma Cole, we hosted two successful Success Sculptors events. These events were designed to help small businesses achieve growth through the sharing of tips, strategies, and practical approaches. The feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with many noting the valuable insights and actionable advice they received.

Networking and Community Engagement

Networking has always been a cornerstone of business development, and this year has been no different. Engagement with the Cornwall Chamber of Commerce and Your Partnership networking events has provided numerous opportunities to learn, grow, and connect with the wider business community on Cornwall.

Looking Ahead

As we move into the second half of the year, I am filled with excitement and anticipation for what’s to come. The achievements and experiences of the past six months have laid a strong foundation for continued growth and success. I am committed to building on these accomplishments, seeking new opportunities, and making an even greater impact in the months ahead.
